Another holiday at the Athena Beach and another excellent stay. The staff as friendly and courteous as ever and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Special mention to Marina who may not be there next year. The only thing that needs attention is the bar area that needs some serious TLC as it is looking very dated and could do with some modernising. The food was exceptional and to a high standard. Anastazio was as good as usual with the bar rocking on all 3 nights he was on. The other entertainment was very average though. Why not have a 70’s or 80’s or modern day DJ for one night like many years ago. This would go down a storm I’m sure of that. Come on Athena Management listen to the guests and give us what we want. It will work for you.

Overall we had a very good week at the Constantinous Bros Athena Beach Hotel. We arrived on a late flight and were happy to be told they had left out a small selection of buffet food for us to enjoy - particularly good as it was 11pm. We ate straight away and by the time we returned to the reception to get our keys, I assume the night staff had taken over. Unfortunately, (although the process was very swift) we did not receive any map or local information which would have been useful. First impressions of our hotel was that it is very dated, albeit immaculately clean. It has got to be one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed at. Our room was of good size, spotless and out balcony was fine. Breakfasts in the morning were great - tons of choice and easy to get tables. Dinner was fine... exactly as you'd expect from a European buffet hotel meal. Not everything was to our taste but there was plenty to find that was. Service was fairly slow for drinks but we were in no real rush so this didn't bother us too much. We ate out on 3 occasions but made sure to be in the hotel for 'Greek Night'. DO NOT MISS THIS! It was by far the best night at the hotel all week. They set the tables up around the pool, traditional greek dancers performed and they do a delicious BBQ outside. This evening was fabulous and a lasting memory of our holiday. The location of the hotel is about 20-25 minutes' walk (walk towards the beach from the back of the hotel and turn right) to the port, with lots of restaurants and bars. We did walk there and back almost every day (beware in the mid-day sun!) to make the most of the area but we would absolutely wish to stay closer if we were to go back to Paphos. This hotel was nice and comfortable however, the entertainment, location and décor is very much (in our opinion) for the older person. Both my partner and I are mid-20s. We aren't into partying and Ibiza would be our worst nightmare, BUT we equally felt a little out of place at times listening to Celine Dion/Barry White style covers (and although this was lovely to watch) we also felt a little out of place whilst elderly couples danced together around us every evening. It is a shame they didn't seem to have entertainment to cater for a younger audience too, but to be fair... the only other people around our age that we noticed during our stay, had very young children. Overall, it was a good experience but if we were to return to Paphos we would choose to be closer to a bit more life/excitement. Luckily there was a bar (Suite 48) about a 10 minute walk away that had the chilled out vibes/cocktail menu we were after for the evening. The hotel was recommended to us by my partner's parents and I can absolutely understand why. For us though, and the price of the holiday it was not perhaps quite as we had hoped.
Went here last week for 7 days. Food staff location all brillant Some small issues: -TV in room useless - Hairdryer worse than useless - Info prior to arrival would help ie we were 2 days there before we realised that we had to book restaurant 24 in advance. A liitle 'house rules' prior to arrival would be a help ! Overall Dated - yes but still beautiful Rooms - great especially the toiletries Food - unreal Staff - genuine Pools - plenty of room and beds Cannot complain whatsoever notwithstanding the above !! Will return !!!!
Had an amazing holiday at Athena beach it’s everything the brochure says it is, the food drinks was amazing everything was clean and tidy! However I do feel a bit of music around the pool and better entertainment of a night wouldn’t go a miss. Also the only thing that let it down was a couple of the staff are broader line bullies to there colleagues so I did have to bite my tongue many a time! I would stay here again though
le plus ; le buffet , le moins: la plage
Took the All Inlusive Premium Package Deal for a 10 night stay. Very comfortable room with a nice view. The staff at this hotel are excellent, always very smartly dressed, helpful & efficient. The choice of food at the buffet restaurant was very wide and of good quality. With the Premium Package you can also dine as often as you want in the 3 Al La Carte restaurants, again the food & service is very good. Good swimming pools & comfortable sun beds. All in all a very good hotel.
We have been to the Athena several times and enjoy our stay every time. The high standard of the hotel is consistent, food is amazing with plenty of choice, comfortable beds, plenty of beds on the beach which we used. Service of drinks in the bar has improved since they have started using the tablets for orders. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The cleaning ladies do their job excellently and would never touch any items in the room On occasion I have left my phone, watch, and other items of jewellery in the room and they were exactly where they had been left. Nice to have that feeling of trust. looking forward to spending another holiday at the Athena soon.
Sehr zufrieden....ein Paar Kleinigkeiten haben gestört, sonst super.

-Bediening mocht iets vriendelijker +Mooi zwembad, hotel. Locatie ok. Veel restaurants
We were 5 couples , we spent 5 days . It is a brillant hotel . Perfect breakfast , perfect dinner . Perfect rooms . Very very very gentel staff . Very comfortable bed . If i would retern to paphos i will choose athena beach hotel for sure .
This was my 3rd visit and won't be my last! As a solo traveller, I cannot fault this place. From the check in with Katerina to check out, it was perfect. The food is incredible and is all included in the all inclusive package. Breakfast and dinner in the Zephyr restaurant is faultless (thank you Maria!) and the steak in the Leda restaurant is amazing. The cocktails are divine and the service is always faultless. A particular thank you to Odile for again making we feel very welcome! I hope to see you all again next year!
This hotel is superb, position of hotel great, fantastic food, very clean, attentive staff of which there are many, plenty of sunbeds with beach towels. You could not wish for a better holiday! Nothing is too much trouble. We were looked after by Daniel ( who cooked us a superb meal at the Zepher restaurant for a supplement of 25 euros well worth it!)we were all inclusive but that included two gourmet meals at one of the two gourmet restaurants, other meals taken in the buffet restaurant which had an over whelming selection of food. One night they had an outside Greek night which was BBQ with entertainment , all tables were spread about the gardens with all food presented outside which must have been alot of hard work to organise! The rooms were clean and well presented a sea view is a must. A special mention must go to Mickaelidis (sorry not sure how to spell his name) one of the restaurant managers who made our holiday very special .I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel this was our 4th visit not having been for 4 years we were pleased and surprised that the hotel which was very good had become great!
We had a Superior Sea View Room with Premium All Inclusive. When checking in we were asked to sit on a sofa and someone would be come and check us in personally. Superior Room guests don’t have to stand at reception and the forms are filled in for them, I’m happy to check myself in but it was a nice little ‘touch’. We had a glass of champagne while we were told all about the hotel and our room and package, AI guests have cards of different colours to tell which package they are on. Odile who checked us in then showed us to our room which was quite a walk but later we thankfully found a short cut to the pool/gardens. It was a nice room, nice size and the sea view, was great, it really is worth the extra cost, the front of hotel is quite close to the main road the view is of shops and nightclub and at times we could hear it extremely loudly while walking up the back stairs .There was a Hessian Bach bag for us to keep, again a nice little ‘touch’ along with fruit & a bottle of red Wine. The Luxury toiletries, Espresso machine & coffee facilities were all replenished daily. The mini bar upon arrival, had various soft drinks, and some small miniature spirits the soft drinks were replenished daily along with a large bottle of water but anymore spirits had to be paid for. We used the main Atrium restaurant the first night and if not on the Ala Carte package we would have been very happy to have dined there daily, the food was excellent and a large choice. The dining room was carpeted and lights dimmed, main restaurants often have tiled floors making them sound like a canteen, this was a very pleasant restaurant. Both the red & white house wines were nice with a large choice to order if you chose to have a bottle, glasses are just house wine. On all our meals we we’re given bottles, I do not know if this is just Premium AI, but as you can have as many glasses as you like would it really matter a great deal? The drinks list was extensive, all premium brands. I was very impressed the water was San Pelligrino, very rare to find served due to the expense. Everything has to be signed and your card is swiped through the till, as there are different guests on different board basis I can only assume the card is for stock control. You have to reserve Al a Carte 24hrs in advance, not a real problem although you just have to remember to book!! Very antiquated reservation system, you can only make your bookings for any of the restaurants at the Atrium, it is not computerised, your names are just put in a folder, in this modern society i was extremely surprised. We tried all restaurants and we found the Leda to be lacking in atmosphere and the food not as good, the Adonis and the Zepher were both excellent. We used the Adonis everyday apart from one as the setting was lovely and the lunches were nice, a mixture between snacks & ‘main’ meals, the burgers were very good! The Leda at lunchtime was very much like a canteen. We had breakfast in the Zepher restaurant reserved for Premium AI, it was very good and also relaxing, of an evening we alternated between the Zepher and the Adonis. Plenty of sunbeds in the garden all a nice distance from each other, a few towels out early morning but that always happens, the towels are the length of the bed which is great. The various garden areas were constantly maintained as was everywhere. There was not enough staff around the gardens to take drink orders, in fact only 1 in our large area, who unfortunately did not know if we could fetch our own (she checked & said no) or where the toilets were, we found them next to the bar & yes you can fetch your own drinks and the pool toilets were right next to the pool bar! They were awful so i would use the main hotel and only an extra minutes walk For children there was a small water slide away from main area and a small pool which had a canopy on to keep the little ones in the shade. WiFi excellent although it cuts off now and again & for some reason you have to sign in again every 24hrs. Beach had a pontoon so you could go in to the sea & not have to tread on rocks, sandy was grainy and raked over every morning. We didn’t use either of the 2 pools but they looked nice also with plenty of sunbeds. The hotel far exceeded my expectations. Some say it’s tired & I agree it’s a little old fashioned but it is still well maintained, it’s due for a refurbishment which apparently due to bookings has been put off the last two years, just changing the soft furnishings would help. I have already arranged with my travel agent to book for next year and hope that this is the winterr they finally refurbish it but i’m not counting on it! Any questions please ask & i hope i can help.
The hotel was very good. Yes the rooms were in need of a make over, but the room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, the rain shower was a very nice touch after a hard days sunbathing! and quiet enough for a great nights sleep. So no problems there. The main restaurants, the al a carte, beach bar and the Greek night all served fantastic food and there was enough variety to keep us happy over the 10 night stay. So again no problems. The drinks were all premium brands and the service was efficient. You also had a choice of bottles of wine with your meals which was a very nice touch. Be careful they do charge you for cider but that is only a very small point. No problems with sun beds and we always had our favourite spot on the beach overlooking the sea. No need to charge down in a morning to reserve your bed. There were spare beds very day of our stay. Major plus point. The only minor point was that the entertainment was a little repetitive but that was ok after a couple of cocktails!!! The Overall a very good hotel with excellent service, food and drink. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an easygoing, relaxing holiday and happy to give the Athens beach a 5 star review.
we thought the amount of sunbeds
perfect storage ,and all staff from cleaners to suits very well respected
good food, but the a la carte restaurant menu gets a bit repetitive if your stay is more than a week. Staff helpful and polite. super location and lovely pools. kids club unimaginative and needs attention.
great service, cleanliness, helpful staff
the sea and the wonderful staff.
