Had a lovely weeks stay in this hotel during these Covid sad times. Although the hotel was certainly not full due to the pandemic, the staff were so lovely. We had a lovely welcome from OdilePapageorgiou the Superior Suites Manageress, she was so helpful and friendly and organised a birthday and anniversary surprise for us, decorating the room with card and balloons and a bottle of wine. The hotel is very spacious and clean with lots of amenities. The pool and outdoor areas are kept clean and tidy and there are plenty of sun beds around the pool, gardens and their beach area. Lots of different dining areas to choose from too. Both large buffet restaurants were fabulout with a choice for everyone but the al a Carte restaurant was superb. Would recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

It was our first time to Cyprus and it didn't fail to deliver, this hotel has everything from location, pools, beach, and great staff who genuinely look at everyone the same..we stayed for a week before the school holidays which was more peaceful and more beds to choose from,we ate breakfast everyday at the hotel and it was great selection from fruits, traditional, porridges, cereals and pastrys and filled us until tea time in which ate across the road at the fiesta steak house a couple of times and food there was great..it would of been better if the other places had of been open but due to these uncertain times we couldn't complain, it was one of the most relaxed and memorable holidays I've had and would stay at this hotel again in a shot. Thanks for having us and would love to stay again
I don't normally write reviews but this 4 star hotel is in my opinion a 5 star and ticks all the boxes. The hotel is in a great location right on the beachfront, you can stumble out of your room into the pool and then a few yards onto the beach and into the sea! Theres a long promenade which will suit those wanting to go for walks in the morning. There's plenty of sunbeds and space for families and the staff were fantastic and genuinely very friendly. I've stayed in other 5 star hotels in Cyprus and apart from them having a more updated interior (the Athena is due a bit of a refresh in all honesty) they don't really compare. If you want a great location, all the facilities you would want, including gym, spa, tennis, mini golf and even several bowling greens then this is a great choice. We stayed in a junior suite which had its own private pool which was amazing but the other rooms were of similar size (we got an upgrade halfway through our holiday) but without the pool! We had a great stay there and hope to return again one day. Thanks to all the staff and especially Odile.
Just returned from a weeks break staying at this hotel. We paid a little more and booked an elite plus all inclusive package. We had a beautiful room with a fantastic sea view watching the amazing sunset daily. Although we are Living in uncertain times we were desperate for a holiday to relax and picked Cyprus as it appeared to be safer. It was the perfect choice, we were greeted with a warm welcome and had a number of certain perks with the package we had booked which were well worth it. The food was amazing with so much choice and different every day, We were able to dine in the Al a carte restaurant as part of the elite package which was delicious with the added touch but the the other two buffet restaurants were equally delicious. The staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. The location is perfect and we will definitely return. Many thanks to all the staff for making are stay just what we needed.
I’m not really the type of person to leave a review but I had to for this hotel as I had such a great time. With all covid going on - Cyprus was the last place without isolation when I was here. So to start with first impressions the hotel is lovely. You walk in greeted by a huge chandelier and the view of the sea sparkling. It is extremely clean and they make you sign in and take a temperature which is great. The room was big and spacious and had a lovely view. Plenty of storage, so ideal for families or large groups. Extremely clean and had seating areas table, ironing board, plugs and bathroom: even a small sewing kit. The hotel was great because it has a large pool with plenty of sun loungers this was more for the children so ideal for families and speaking to others. However, if you’re a couple; friends or solo you can venture further onto the grass areas and the beach and if you want quieter you can escape this atmosphere. They had three restaurants, all with great service and prompt in delivering drinks and you never felt ignored. The food was great for kids to adults. Wide ranges of fruit, veg, meat, Desserts, cereal and also had a menu you can order from. They had everything - hotdogs, pancakes, every type of topping for cereal or porridge. The a la carte menu is amazing too if you get the chance. Recc the lobster spaghetti. The drinks are amazing too. Generous on the amount of spirit given and great cocktails too. Table service is quick and everyone in the bar was lovely. Obviously activities were cancelled and covid played a part in this but they held movie nights for children every night and they had a singer some nights too. Also with covid they were great with this: the tables were spread apart, they offered hand sanitizer and gloves everywhere. I even saw someone just wiping the food tongs during dinner service so you cant complain at that. Staff were all friendly and showed personality and were efficient throughout. In all honesty I couldnt really fault the hotel. I would return and stay here again. Like any hotel there’s a few bits that need to be looked at, but nothing is perfect and with all the positive points above you don’t notice anything. Strongly recommend anyone going and looking for somewhere else to stay and caters to everyone - thanks for a fabulous 30th birthday
We had a great stay in Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel, which offers excellent amenities at a perfect location (15 min walk from Paphos city center). We particularly enjoyed the beautiful seafront, nice garden and the kindness and support of the staff. Also worth mentioning is the Spa where we enjoyed excellent treatments handled with care by our great therapist Plamen. We can only recommend this super hotel and hope to be back soon.
We have just returned from an 11 night break in a junior suite with its own private pool all inclusive. We were looked after by the manager Odile, who does a fantastic job there. We had a wonderful break and to think I tried to do everything I could in the 3 weeks leading up to it to cancel it as I was so scared of all the things that could go wrong. We had COVID tests done in a private clinic in Putney 72 hours before flying - the clinic was superb and we got our negative results back in 24 hours. Couldn’t rate them highly enough. Then everything went so well right up until we landed at Heathrow - we know we were so lucky. At the hotel there was a choice of 3 restaurants for us to eat at and we enjoyed them all. We understand it was not normal service because the hotel was operating at 20-30% capacity to stay safe. As many have said, the pepper fillet steak in the Zaphir restaurant was delicious! The Chinese food in the large buffet restaurant was also surprisingly lovely (we have never had a good Chinese abroad before!). All drinks we had were branded with choices of bottled larger such as Budweiser, Becks, Corona and Heineken. Branded spirits including Baileys and lovely cocktails. Enjoyed the various wines on offer too. The service was superb although we had an issue with our cards not working due to an IT issue but the problems only lasted a couple of days. We did not have to worry about sunbeds because our room came with them but we did note that the sunbeds around the pool had been reserved by the time we went to breakfast (7.30am) but there were plenty of sunbeds with little tables, chairs and parasols everywhere else all a stone’s throw from the pools. The weather for the last two weeks of October 2020 was outstanding at about 30 degrees every day. It was our first trip Cyprus and hopefully will not be the last!
Fantastic hotel, it was very busy and they good hygiene standards. The only thing I would say is the selection of the all inclusive cocktails are not great.
Tolles Hotel. Hier passt Preis und Leistung. Personal ist super freundlich!
A great safe place to stay where we paid for the elite package but so did most of the other guests not making that elite. The hotel website did say that all restaurants were open for the a la carte menu, this is not true as it is ONE. However I will say the food is fantastic and also has a good wine menu that most are covered on the package or 50% off others. You need to book in advance or you will not get a table and now the hotel is getting busy do it for a few days in advance. The pools are clean and lots of sun loungers however we did pick the right week - when the English school half-term hit 24th Oct it got busy with kids giving a large amount of volume and the pool loungers filled up fast with towels leaving the ones by the beach. That was not a problem but they just did not put enough out and had people wondering about looking for somewhere to sit in the sun. This had nothing to do with social distancing rules as we counted about 50 place. Short staff did mean they were slow to respond to sort this out but did get there and even though the hotel is running at 50% I would not like to get somewhere to sit when it gets full. There are 2 outdoor bars (beach and pool) but one only opens up later in the day leaving large queues with one bar 2 staff and “ALL” the hotel guests needing a drink. This is not helped by a super slow P.O.S. system, 2 drinks and the poor staff had to push what seemed like 20 buttons slowing everything down. Saying that the staff they did have are very good. Breakfast and lunch were again slowed down to lack of staff and could take you a long time to get any service if at all. We had to go looking and ask after 20mins or so. Still, we were on holiday and not too much of a rush but just a few more staff would make all this ok and would make it a 100% difference. We did have a good time with good food and the staff are great with clean rooms, the drinks are fine but cocktails are pre made at the pool bar. .
Stayed here in October 2020 and found resort to be very clean. They have all measures active for COVID protection. Staff is very helpful and plenty of choice in Buffet. Beach and pools are clean and well kept. Would recommend stay here in future for anyone visiting Paphos.
Kids friendly - Little bits far from everything’s... we have a rental car, so it was not that bad.
We have just returned from this hotel and what an experience we had. We booked a junior suite with private pool and we were not disappointed. We thought the pool would be quite small but in fact it was fine for the two of us. We also had proper sunbeds on our patio area. The bathroom was luxurious with a rainwater shower as sell as a separte Jacuzzi bath. We had fresh bottles of water left in our room every day. We had booked bed and breakfast and the breakfast was buffet style. Not only eggs and bacon but fresh fruit, breads, cakes, smorgasbord and plentiful tea, coffee and juices. (I'm now dieting!) The staff could not do enough for us. A big shout out to Odile who really looked after us in the main hotel and also to Maria, Tamika and Nina, the three servers in the Zephyr Restaurant who always greeted us with a smile and were very professional. The beach bar was quiet and away from the maiin pool area so you could sit with a drink and people watch or stare at the ocean. Plentiful sunbeds in the lush gardens and on the beach if you fancied a change of location. We had a fantastic holiday and cannot wait to go back. Would I stay here again? ~Absolutely!
I have just spent 5 nights at The Athena Beach Hotel with a friend, and absolutely loved it. Super friendly and helpful staff, great location and suitable for friends, solo travellers, families and honeymooners.
Das Hotel hat eine wunderschöne Anlage am Strand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Buffet ist reichhaltig und das Essen ist sehr lecker.
I have just spent 4 nights at The Athena Beach Hotel with a friend, and absolutely loved it. Super friendly and helpful staff, great location and suitable for friends, solo travellers, families and honeymooners. The hotel was super clean and I really loved the outdoor cinema in the evening which was by the beach, in the gardens. The hotel were incredibly diligent with COVID rules and regulations with plenty of sanitiser stations around the hotel. Go for the superior sea view rooms. Stunning views and you also get to dine in the VIP restaurants and late check out is included. You will receive a bottle of wine in the room for free.
Breakfast was exceptional, diner tasty. Room very good with side view. Only sea enter is a little complicated. Personal at the reception was very helpful, thank you! - As I mentioned above - better enter to the sea will be OK.
