We had a wonderful stay here, great staff and great atmosphere, excellent food and clean rooms. Great pool with great facilities.

Pools are very nice, lawns are great, food is really good, spa is nice. The beach is a little rocky and full of weeds for some reason. I hardly saw anyone swimming in the sea during our stay, but otherwise, the hotel is truly wonderful.

Great experience on all aspects. Great location, food, staff, entertainment, clean rooms. Two outdoor swimming pools one indoor and one kids swimming pool. 4 restaurants in total. A beautiful garden, well maintained.

Having been to this hotel for 10 times now, we couldn’t wait to go back, so heading Bk for our 11th visit, the great thing about this hotel is the staff, they really are second to none, nothing was too much bother, and they always feel like your the only one there. On this visit I used the spa for 3 massages, and WOW, euros was amazing, a real credit to your spa, I’m Hoping he’s still there when we go back !!!!, Rooms are big with lots of storage and hangers, and have everything you need for a stay here. Food is also to a high standard, with lots of choices even for picky eaters. This is a great place to stay x

Let me start by saying that I believe the hotel is having a refurb over the winter 2019/20. This was our first time to Cyprus and this hotel, and our overall holiday experience was really good, hence the four stars and the things that were wrong were only minor, so I thought I would list some pros and cons and let you make your mind up: Pros: If you can, book the Premium / Elite upgrade, with sea view, the rooms are a good size and great view over the pools and of the sea. Via the upgrade you get a separate breakfast restaurant, which due to less people being there, leads to a lovely calm relaxing breakfast and start to the day. Hotel is large but not too large, well laid out and plenty of staff to assist and help Staff are always helpful Lots of sunbeds, however, if you do want one directly around the pools, you will need to be up early, if not, then there will always be some free around the grounds Separate kids’ pools, which does mean that the young kids tend to all be in one location rather than running around everywhere, which seems to work well Two pool bars, severing drinks and food from 10 am, both drinks and food of a good standard and of course you can always go into the main restaurant as well Choice of drinks is excellent, not sure if we got extra choice via the premium upgrade but unless you want 20 year old whisky or cognac etc, they have pretty much everything and all branded Cons: As the hotel caters for B&B, Half board and full board as well as all inclusive, you are issued with a card instead of a wrist band, which means that whenever you order anything, food, drinks, snacks, you need to show your card and sign off a bill – Not the end of the world but a bit of a pain Although the main public areas are very clean and impressive, the carpet and some of the fittings on the guest accommodation floors are beginning to show there age, carpets worn, scuffs on furniture etc, although always very clean. Entertainment at night time, hmmm, it just seems to be missing something, all a bit flat, I think it needs more show types acts and less ‘lounge’ singers. Evening meals – overall, ok but nothing special even in the a la carte restaurants – we actually went out a few times to nearby restaurants, which by the way are very good. So, as you can see, more pros than cons and I would stay here again, especially if it has had a refurb. Happy to answer any questions but I do not check TripAdvisor everyday so be patient

Friendly attentive staff, clean, a little dated, pool a lovely depth but a little dirty around the edges (outside jacuzzi area not great, scum on surface), plenty of sun beds but around the pool spaces got bagged early, didn’t bother us as we preferred to be on the grass. Loved the activities, something for all ages. Right on the beach. Great watersports nearby, Stavros Flatly works there ha ha! Plenty to do in the area so a good base. We will be back next year.

Right this is a dated but clean hotel. You only notice the dated but in reception and lifts but believe me it does not detract from a superb holiday. The cleanliness is the best I have seen, the rooms are nice, but guys the staff and food are the best we have experienced! I've stayed in 5 stars all over and the staff here know how to run a hotel and treat their customers well. Whatever you do....GO ALL INCLUSIVE! You have to sign for everything and we easily had 2k worth of reciepts for a Family of 3 and we spent 3.5k for the holiday. So in short flights and accommodation cost 1.5k We flew Jet2 the flight was pants, as were the staff but with Jet 2 we got unlimited access to the water park worth 80 each visit for a family of 3. Go premium all inclusive it's about 200 more but it's worth it. We visited the premium al a carte restraints every night without issue. The best restaurant is Zephyr with a special mention to Marina, Roxana and Tania. They are better thanks staff in the UK, they are honestly exceptional. I honestly cannot write enough about how they run a perfect restaurant. Sunbeds....get up early if you want to be by the pool but that's my only gripe. I wouldn't hesitate to return here. Advice to the hotel....don't lose your best staff, they make the holiday.

Currently staying at Athena Beach room 217 overlooks pool and sea. You get sun in afternoon on balcony. Brilliant hotel, staff are so friendly, the place is clean and tidy and food is very good although we are only B&B. They have this hotel spot on, there are no irritating lifeguards to stop people having fun, pool is 1.25m deep everywhere so safe for children. Balls and lilos allowed in pool just how it used to be and there is ample room for all. Pool is warm as expected and always clean. Sun beds have thick padding so nice and comfortable and there are plenty to go round including umbrellas which are fixed to ground. There is a jetty out off beach into see if you wish to avoid rocks and is safe for kids under supervision. Pool bar prices are pretty reasonable 3.5 euros for a pint (500ml is standard here in Cyprus) 1.70 for a bottle of water. Across the road is a great supermarket where you can get sandwiches freshly made and good value and water is only 1 Euro. If you want to walk to harbour where it is the busiest go out towards sea area and head right, it is 1.25 miles but a lit stroll along the sea promenade takes you straight there and it’s a lovely walk with plenty of people. Nothing much if you turn left apart from the decent watersports centre where the rides start at 20 euros which are also great fun and friendly staff. You get two sets of beach / pool towels per person which is great and can change them if you wish. House cleaning is excellent and always leave a nice scented smell with their products. There are bath robes and slippers at no charge and also the safe is free which is brilliant. Ok so sunbeds in the morning... it’s back to the old school here which is get up early and get your towels out, realistically you need to get them out by 7.45 to make sure you get an ok spot. If you have small children and need to be absolutely on the poolside probably 6am. It isn’t a moan, it’s how it used to be and actually quite refreshing, it was always fine before and you can relax knowing you have your preferred spot which some children would welcome if they got lost. You have a choice of poolside, garden or beach to sit all are well maintained and garden staff very friendly. If you are thinking of staying in a 4 star hotel without the stuffy nature Of a hotel like the H10s at Tenerife then stop here you will love it. This is day 3 and we always stay at least 4 star and this is probably one of the best for overall satisfaction taking into account hotel, people and facilities. Well done to everyone at the hotel you are creating a great holiday experience. If anyone wants to know anything else let me know happy to give info. We are a family with a teenage son and it caters for all whether couple, family wedding party.

This was our first time at this hotel under the all inclusive package booked through love holidays traveling as a family with 2 x 16 year olds one boy one girl, on arrival we were welcomed by a lovely member of reception who sat us in reception and offered is a welcome drink and cold towels, this was lovely as very warm and rather than standing at the desk to check in we were checked in whist enjoying a welcoming cold drink, we had booked the premium package as we were a family of 4 and I assumed this was a normal booking but to my surprise we were treated like royalty , we were shown personally by our lovely reception rep to our amazing 2 bedroom with sitting room suite which had 3 interconnected rooms and balconies over looking the pool and sea views, the rooms had 2 fully stocked mini bars with spirits that were free on first day and the soft drinks were replenished-daily for free. Although the rooms were slightly dated (having a refitting by next year we were told ) we couldn’t believe this was all for us. The rooms were very clean beds very comfy and the maid service repeatedly checked we had enough towels and had turn down services with fresh waters ever evening and biscuits on our pillows. As premium guests we had the choice of 2 breakfast areas , 1 buffet restaurant in the evening or a choice of 3 other restaurant to use as often as we liked if booked day before, we ate in all and never had a bad meal, snack bar in the day and bars were great. Also with our room we had a cabana which was for our use only during our stay, fresh towels every day so no rush for sun beds this was situated a little way from the pools but not a problem for us with older children as didnt have to have an eye on the pools. There was entertainment in the day if you liked water fitness, table tennis and water polo, and in the evening a light entertainment program not to our taste and it would be my only critique as felt could be a little more lively, not in a tacky way bit the daily lounge singer seemed a bit aimed st the over 60’s the pool shows we’re good but by 9:40is all were done, we didn’t-mind as strolling to the harbour from the sea front too around 20 mins and lots to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again and found all the staff friendly and helpful.

This is my third visit to Cyprus and the hotels never fail to delight. 5* is just that. At the Athena Beach hotel the staff and accommodation were excellent. The beds had memory foam toppers so super comfy. The Only down side for us was the buffet restaurant. On the whole good although got less so mid week. The restaurant staff we slow to take drinks on occasions too. There was always lots of choice and there were two other restaurants if you needed a change. A great holiday non the less and there was champagne at breakfast on the day we left!

When ever you book a hotel for the first time it is always in the back of your mind, will it be this ? will this be ok ? Etc, etc All of these thoughts can be put to bed when visiting the Athena Beach. The experiance starts when you arrive at reception, a very warm welcome, lots of smiles, and all the help you can ask for. The hotel is a natural stone fanactics heaven ! a blend of granite and marble everywhere, and all kept spotlessly clean so where to next ? i could go on forever about the rooms ( if im honest some could do with an update, but thats just me being picky !), The facilities, The food ( fabulous, and the scales prove it when we got home ! ) The staff, it's an endless list, and the y all end with the same comment......fantastic !

We went to this resort last year and had such a lovely time we have just returned from a second visit. After such a lovely time last year there was an initial concern that this time it perhaps wouldnt be the same - but we had nothing to worry about as it was even better. This year we had an elite room which meant we could take the a la carte option as many times as we wanted, and the meals in the a la carte are amazing - the steaks are fantastic and the lobster pasta is gorgeous - actually you cant fault anything. The Athena Beach Hotel has something very magical and special, it is a big hotel but due to the space it occupies people are not on top of each other. It is not a hotel where you have to set your alarm at a stupid time to reserve a sunbed, no matter what time you go out you will find ample sunbeds to use. This in itself makes for a very relaxing time. A few reviews have been left saying the hotel is outdated, and apparently this is going to be addressed this year, it is though all in good condition so don't let that put you off - it is a comfortable hotel where you can relax, and everything is in a good state of repair and spotless - the cleaners, the maintenance workers and the gardeners work incredibly hard. All the staff in the restaurants and the bars take pride in their work, and despite the size of the hotel they have this amazing ability to remember your room number when making meal reservations, its the little things like this that make you feel special. All the staff are a true credit to the hotel. This hotel is really committed to making holiday makers have a positive experience, and in the twelve months since we have been we can see that they are continually listening to comments made by holiday makers. In the evening the hotel works its magic and the outside feels like its own little village square, each restaurant seemingly workinng independantly with a different show / singer each night, and again a feel of calmness and space, despite the size. On the last day my daughter and I booked into the spa to have our hair done, and this made a lovely ending to the hotel which was complemented by the bottle of champagne which had been sent up to our room the evening before. Thank you Athena Beach Hotel for another amazing holiday, needless to say we will be returning as we think you really do have something very unique and special.

Stayed here with my wife in July 2019, hotel is clean, pools very clean, we were Premium All-Inclusive so had the opportunity to enjoy the a la carte restaurants every night if we chose to. Having read some negative reviews, i can agree that parts of the Hotel are "tired" however i understand the Hotel is going to be refurbished from November this year during the closed season. The majority of the staff were excellent, prompt service for drinks and the restaurant service was good. BBQ night was very good too. The Spa is a must.....All in all a nice Hotel and a nice holiday, Asimina Suites next on the list for us!!

This was a lovely, clean and friendly hotel. Went with my husband and 13 year old son. On our first morning at breakfast, we commented that there seemed to be a lot of guests who had returned several times. I can understand why. Breakfast was great, a really good choice, particularly when my picky 13 year old didn't complain! We had room service a couple of times too and again the food was lovely. I had a massage at the spa and come out feeling like I was on cloud nine. Both indoor and outdoor pools are great and there is a walk-way if you wish to swim in the sea as there is not really a beach to speak of. I don't have anything negative to say about this hotel, You can either walk into the marina or take the bus which stops right outside. I would say the hotel is popular with older people and if you are in your 20s looking for nightlife this is not for you! We had a great holiday and hope to return in the future.
