A fabulous hotel, rooms clean and welcoming. Staff were fabulous, particularly loved the restaurants, wide choices of excellent food. Pool was a little cold (well it was November) the beach was great with an amazing place to snorkel. Would like to upgrade to a superior room next time, though my 12 year old wants a junior suite. Can't wait to return to see the donkey in the shop- my dad would have loved to take it home!

My mother-in-law and stayed for 1 week Elite package. Well worth it. Everyone could not do enough for us. We were very spoilt. Spotlessly clean hotel, fabulous food & great location. From the moment we arrived until the day we left was perfect.

This was our first holiday with Jet 2 and everything was as slick and professional as possible. The Hotel was amazing and the staff so friendly and helpful. In particular Angie who looked after us at reception and was on hand to answer any questions we had, including getting football scores. The food was amazing and the buffet could satisfy even the fussiest eater. Good clean rooms, everything spotless. Prefessional service from the bar staff. Had a really great time.

we went for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay a lot. Breakfast was great, Mediterranean style included in the price. service was good and the stuff was really friendly. The room was big and clean. we recommend to take the full sea view- it is worth every penny. The beach is close to the hotel and there is a beautiful spot to see the sunset. highly recomend to walk down from the hotel to the beach and enjoy the sunset. The location of the hotel is 2 km from the harbour area but very easy to walk (only 20min walk or you can go by bus). The average age of the hotel guests is 50+ which makes it great and a quiet place. Overall, Great stay and one of the best holidays we had. We would be happy to come here again.

we were very pleased with every thing this hotel was offering. But we could use all the facilities because the time was too short.

Hotel staff were excellent in all areas, hotel just needs a refurbishment then would be perfect. The food was plentiful and fresh. The entertainment in the evening was a bit lacking and could be improved on.

We have just returned from our seventh visit to this hotel and it will not be our last. The rooms may seem a bit dated but they are very clean and comfortable. The food is always good with plenty of choice and the bar service has improved, much quicker than our last visit. The cleaners, waiters, restaurant staff, receptionists etc are all very helpful and professional. We absolutely love Athena Beach and had a very relaxing break, thank you.

Stayed at the Athena Beach Hotel at the end of September. First stayed there when it first opened. Made many return visits and have always enjoyed the holiday. Good value for money. Good selection of food on the buffets. Went to the olive Tree restaurant at Athena Royal Beach hotel for lunch where you can charge it to your room at the Athena Beach. It is all freshly cooked. Had lunch in the Leda restaurant but found it disappointing as the food was cold. Entertainment in the evening was round the pool area which we enjoyed and it was a good use of the outside area in the evening. Really like the gardens as there is lots of room between sun beds and can either be next to the pool or on the beach. Would recommend this hotel as suitable for all age groups.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our 5 year old daughter during half term in October. We had a much needed relaxing break. The hotel was spotlessly clean and staff obviously work very hard to maintain good standards. Our maid was lovely and took pride in her work. Our daughter managed to put some of our Euros into the bin and the maid was very honest and returned them to us. The hotel is definitely aimed towards elderly customers, so if you have loud children with lots of energy then another hotel might be more suitable. My daughter used the kids club which she really enjoyed and the staff seemed really nice. We did find the different restaurants a little confusing and were not sure what was included on our all inclusive package, but we found the standard of food to be good and considering the size of the hotel they do very well to cater for so many guests. I used the spa and had a massage, I was a little surprised to be greated by a man, but he was very professional and I would highly recommend using the facilities. The rooms are a little dated and are in need of a revamp, however we found our room comfortable and quiet. We were actually upgraded to a superior room and we had a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. Our daughter loved the pool and slide! The hotel should consider using wrist bands as we did notice a family using the pool. They were definitely not guests and their kids were really annoying! Overall we were very happy with our stay. If you are elderly traveller this hotel certainly seemed to be a safe place to visit and you don’t nevesssrily need to leave the hotel grounds. Tips- a sea view is a must and get a superior room. Higher level for a quieter room. Have a treatment at the spa.

We visited Athena beach for a holiday, this hotel is situated in a beautiful position with stunning views out to sea & sunsets. Sun beds round the pool & peaceful sun beds by the sea. The staff are very friendly, we were all inclusive & the food was lovely with lots of choices, also being all inclusive we could dine twice in a la carte restaurants which were very nice. There is a coastal path to Paphos harbour which takes about 20mins to walk or the bus runs every 10mins 1.5 euros. We have been to Paphos 4 times & love the area, the hotel is an older one but the standards are super & definitely will be returning, the setting & views are gorgeous & add to the overall holiday experience.

Just retuned from a 7 day trip to the Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos via Jet2 holidays. We are very particular and very demanding travellers!. First impressions were heading in the "dated" and not "worthy" or 'worth it" theme. HOWEVER... This hotel scores so well on so many levels. 1. VERY clean, in-fact, immaculate. (yes, the decor is a little dated but this adds character in our opinion and is very charming). 2. The pool and beach areas outside are spot on and very clean and enjoyable. 3. The food is superb, especially on the Premium Package (Ultra Fully Inclusive). Great breakfasts, lunches, snacks and Dinner. "Adding half a stone in just one week" good and I thought I was being sensible!! 4. The entrainment each night felt a little rough APART FROM Anastazio. He was AMAZING. The hotel should have him on EVERY night. What an amazing talent. On the nights he wasn't performing it was very dull with a marked decrease in guests up dancing. 5. Staff. 8 of 10 staff were very pleasant ONCE you engaged with them. I got the feeling this could have been a strategy actually and not a bad one. If you keep to the minimum of engagement so will they. But if you make the effort to engage they come alive. I love that. No chit-chat if you don't want it, but plenty of warmth and engagement if you do. Perfect. Overall, the barometer for me (which the wife and Daughter will confirm), I didn't have to complain ONCE about ANYTHING. Very very rare for me indeed. 5 stars for this location and we will be definitely be returning again as soon as possible. We just hope that Anastazio is resident entertainer for more that three nights per week. Make him a permanent feature.

overall excellent except for checkin n room allocation which was not as booked and also lack of availability of late checkout. such a shame as other areas of hotel were excellent ans this has reduced rating.
