We visiting Paphos and this hotel during the New Years Period. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. My partner and I are a Young couple (early 30 s) so from the photos, location and reviews
- we were expecting a little more to be honest. I wouldn t personally recommend to younger couples as there are probably more modern places we would prefer as we thought it would be more upscale for the price. We were literally and officially the youngest couple there. Everyone there was MUCH older than us. I think the decor and the hotel itself are more suited to the more mature couples or retired couples. There wasn t much in the location open as was New Years and winter period. Would definitely recommend hiring a car which is MUCH cheaper than using taxis unless you are happy with local transport. Fuel is also extremely cheap. Overall, Food is amazing (even breakfast), Gym facilities are great, hotel is clean and staff are great. Cant really fault any of the services at all!

As usual for this hotel very welcome and happy, a great time relaxing in a hotel for Xmas, shame it rained but still a good place to stay. Not a lot going on in resort but a nice walk down to the harbour and plenty of places open and busy. Buses are always on time and €3 got us both to hotel.

This friendly hotel is an ideal venue for Bridge, Bowls (indoor and outdoor), Dancing, Aqua Aerobics, table tennis, and crazy golf. You can swim in the sea or laze in the grounds on the beach. The Mediterranean buffet salad bars are second to none. They even have pistachio ice cream, self service breakfasts with champagne and honeycomb for elite room customers and above. The friendliness of the long-term staff welcoming you back is like being in a family. There are 4 hotels along the front in Paphos for all types of holidays and one can use all their facilities eg hairdressing. The Royal does not take children and is suitable for political meetings and conferences. We have been 5 times and love it.

Nice hudge hotel directly at the sea. Small beach, bring your bathshoes, there are some rocks. Excellent restaurants, good services, lot of entertainment like dancing, bowls, tennis. Hudge pool area, indoor pool, gym, mini market. Nice garden area directly at the coastal pathway to Paphos (3km), wonderful for a run, stroll...

My husband and I stayed here on an all inclusive basis for 1 week (September 2018) for our honeymoon. Location is fantastic right on the beach, plenty of sun loungers. Loved just walking along the seafront and seeing the different resorts. At one end of the stretch was a beautiful church. Inside of the hotel/rooms is quite outdated but I think that is the case with most Cypriot hotels. The room had a powerful shower and two single comfortable beds. Air con worked well and there was a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. Also an iron and lock safe. Food and drink was high quality and varied in culture. Particularly liked the gala night which was outside by the pool. Please note that men had to wear long trousers in the restaurant. We also had to carry our all inclusive cards with us in order to sign for orders. Waiting staff were really friendly. Would recommend the souvlaki by the bar pool! We often sat inside during lunchtime as sometimes it was just too hot and could see others suffering heat stroke. Would highly recommend the Paphos Segway Tour and just looking round Paphos centre itself. There are also lots of other lovely places to be found just by going for a walk. There was only one main negative which wasn't entirely the hotels fault... We told our your agent that it was our honeymoon when booking the trip, with a hope of maybe getting a bit of special treatment or a welcome gift (fruit etc) but unfortunately the reception didn't know that we were on our honeymoon. When we mentioned it to them the reception staff didnt seem to care much. It was quite disappointing as other rooms had balloons and posters up outside their rooms saying "happy 60th" or "happy anniversary" yet they didn't make the effort for our special trip. This was the only real negative as the rest of out time there was fab. Overall a very good hotel and would recommend.

Our first time away with out the family. Absolutely fab so well looked after.. the variety of food to suit all tastes. Ample Sun beds tables and chairs to rest near the pool. A 30 minute walk along the beach front to the harbour .. lots of nice coffee shops. Efi the rep helped us arrange a day out to Troodos mountains well organised with stops for toilets. Bus routes easy assessable £5 euro for day ticket any bus. Plenty sports to try bowls greens, indoor pool, table tennis, spar and gym, boules, pitch and put. Evening entertainment to have a dance. We are booking to go back.

Excellent location near Paphos, 3 km to walk along the coastal pathway to the Harbour with cafes, restaurants, shops. Hudge hotel with over 400 rooms, 3 main restaurant, in summer more, bars and halls. Mini market with reasonable prices, indoor heated pool, hudge outdoor pool, nice garden and terraces, many cats around, tennis courts. Small beach with some rocks (bring shoes) Game room Excellent food and friendly staff members. Popular for bowl lovers, animation program. Good location to get pampered and got starting point for trips to Arkamas peninsula Troodos mountains, paphos forests and also to Nicosia.More popular for older guests, but we had had an amazing stay as a family of 5 with 3 kids age 6 to 11

My only points I would highlight for family stays are it advertises a family feel but this hotel in our experience does not attract children it is really geared up to catering to the retired or semi-retired bridge or bowls playing couples/groups (there are several bowling greens situated right next to the hotel) and at night the only entertainment is music in the bar from a variety of entertainers some good some not so but always encourage dancing. The rooms are spotless and the beds very comfortable, we stayed in a superior room (on premium plus package) with bedroom and lounge with two bathrooms (quite small) all have flat screen TVs, hairdryers, iron (dry ironing only)+board, tea and coffee, mini bar (reasonably stocked but not a huge variety), safe, robes, lovely fluffy white towels, usual toiletries in bathroom etc. The rooms and whole hotel could do with some modernisation rooms, restaurants, furniture, signage, keys (you still get one large brass key only and have to ask for two by special arrangement). The hotel has 3 pools one inside and two outside very nicely kept with a lot of sun beds around the pool and in the gardens looking out to sea. You can walk into Kato Paphos approx 15-20 and it’s a lovely walk by the sea or on the road. We also hired a car and this was very reasonable for two days. The food was very good and the Zephyr restaurant exceptional, probably the best fillet steak I have ever had! The buffet in the Atrium and Leda also very good with a wonderful variety of food everyday and served very hot which is hard to do on a buffet sometimes so this was great, in fact you can eat all day if you want to! On premium package plus you can order most drinks but be aware that bottled beers and Hendricks for instance you will have to pay for! But if you like rose wine then order Baron du Valac it was very nice but only available in restaurants not in the bar, Othello is a good red too. The staff are very helpful, polite and attentive all over the hotel. I have rated the hotel purely a 4/5 as it is need of refurbishment now but everything else is super, bearing in mind the age group it attracts. I would not return because I have an only son who is 12 and he struggled to make any friends as children few and far between! We enjoyed our stay over Xmas though, thanks!
