Das SeVi Boutique Hotel liegt wunderbar am langen Sandstrand von Matemwe. Die Anlage ist ein schöner Garten mit einzelnen Bungalows und zwei Sea Front Einheiten. Wir haben 5 Tage in der Sea Front Villa verbracht, und waren absolut begeistert von der Unterkunft. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Essen war köstlich und abwechslungsreich, und die Sea Front Villa war wunderbar weitläufig. Man hat einen tollen Blick auf den Strand inklusive Sonnenaufgang. Die Villa ist sehr offen gehalten, und man schläft nahezu wie direkt am Strand. Wir können diese Unterkunft gerne weiterempfehlen.

This was a wonderful place to relax after our 12-day safari. Beautiful ocean views from the infinity pool and the lounge/dining area. Nice location -- lots of beach walk, access to nearby bars & restaurants. Kind, attentive staff. Excellent food & drink; amazing service. Salum was wonderful -- we had several conversations with him over our 4 days there -- as was Rashid (correct name?). Lovely individual bungalows. Ours was in the rear portion of the property, away from the beach. Pro: Fewer people walking by our bungalow. Con: Closer to the street so there was outside noise for a while each evening. Each bungalow has its own plunge pool. We didn't make use of our because it was always shaded so stayed quite cool.

We have just returned home from an amazing 20-day trip to Zanzibar, a vacation that was definitely worth every moment! For our last seven days, we stayed at the SeVi Boutique Hotel in Tropical Garden Bungalow No. 6. The bungalow was very spacious and private, with a super comfortable large bed and a mini-fridge that kept our water cold. We also loved the turndown service every evening where they got the room and mosquito net ready for the night. The only small tweak would be making the outdoor shower a bit more private. The entire team, from reception and security to the restaurant staff, chefs, and spa team, was extremely service-minded, smiling, and friendly. Getting a huge hug from the staff when leaving really says it all! The location is breathtaking, offering incredible views of the Indian Ocean and Mnemba Island. Every day there are plenty of ocean activities nearby, from snorkeling and diving to sandbank visits and appreciating the stunning turquoise waters. (While dolphin safaris are offered, they felt a bit too much like "dolphin hunting," which is hard to control, so we preferred the other activities). The food was fantastic. Breakfast was delightful with delicious homemade bread, juice, and marmalade, more than enough to start the day. I love that they focus on seasonal ingredients, a practice the rest of the world could learn from! Just a small suggestion: the menu should update to reflect what is actually in season (for example, removing mango dishes when mangoes are out of season). That said, every meal was fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared, huge kudos to the kitchen staff! My only constructive critique is the entrance at the front gate. It is quite uneven and almost dangerous, especially when arriving at night. Improving this would be a small investment that makes a much safer and better first impression to match the rest of the wonderful stay. Thank you all for a lovely week. I already miss the calming sound of the palm trees and the ocean waves until we meet again! NB: A special highlight was my wife’s birthday during our stay—the staff went above and beyond to make it unforgettable! They decorated our room beautifully with flowers and towel art, and celebrated her with singing and a delicious cake. It was a day she will cherish forever.

The hotel is right on the beach and is very peaceful and relaxing, perfect if you’re looking for a quiet and secluded getaway. However, if you’re looking for more things to do around the hotel, it might feel a little boring, as there isn’t much around. The staff are extremely kind, welcoming and helpful. The food is excellent — breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very good. They are also very flexible with both meal times and requests to modify dishes. The only downside is that the service can be a little slow, but honestly, when you’re on holiday, it’s quite acceptable. The room was beautiful, spacious and tastefully decorated with a lovely local touch. - - A few things could be improved: the Wi-Fi is very slow, especially in the evening, and unfortunately the beach was not really accessible because of the large amount of seaweed. We also organised an excursion through the hotel which wasn’t managed in the best way, although the hotel later offered us a discount to make up for it. -

Heel vriendelijk personeel, zeer aangename sfeer! We voelden ons direct thuis bij die mensen. Ze proberen aan de verwachtingen of vragen te voldoen. The staff made this hotel stand out. They kept saying, Everything is possible, and they meant it! They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I want to commend Rashid, Stella, Masoud, and Hallelujah for their outstanding service in the restaurant and bar. The cocktails and snacks were excellent, and we loved sitting in the beautiful terrace bar where we could look out at the ocean. We found it a great place to get work done! (We were traveling for work.) The food was excellent. We did not agree with the reviewer who said that the portions were small -- far from it! We had more than enough food, especially during breakfasts. We also did not experience shortages of butter or beer. The cottages were large and tastefully decorated. We particularly loved the hanging swing lounger on the verandas of our cottage. We thought the housekeeping staff did a very nice job of tidying up our room each day, as well as providing turn-down service in the evenings. Christina and Philomon at the reception were always friendly and helpful. Finally, I want to acknowledge excellent spa service. - - The hotel was undergoing some renovation while we were there, so there was quite a bit of noise during the day. However, the workers didn t start until everyone was awake, so it was not very disturbing in the end. The hotel is more rustic than some travelers might like, but we found that was part of its charm. The only thing that I didn t love were the hustlers on the beach. Whenever we tried to walk on the beach, we were inundated by people trying to sell us things. That said, everyone has to make a living, so we were able to politely decline and were then left alone. -

The accommodation was lovely, peaceful and relaxing, no noise, no stress, it was exactly what was needed to just switch off and enjoy the island getaway. We loved it. - - The only down fall to the hotel was the variety of food choices. Was very limited. -

Très bel hôtel au milieu de la végétation avec 2 belles piscines. Notre lodge était aussi parfait (sur la plage). Personnel aux petits soins et très souriants. Très bons restaurant et cocktails ! Les vues sur la petite plage et la mer sont magnifiques. - - À savoir qu’il n’y a rien autour de l’hôtel pour aller à pied dans un restaurant, faire du shopping ou prendre un verre. Pas possible donc par exemple d’aller déjeuner ailleurs qu’au restaurant de l’hôtel. Petite déception aussi sur les massages que nous avions réservés plusieurs jours à l’avance mais la personne n’avait pas prévenu et n’est pas venue finalement. -
