Spent a pleasant week here and would come back. The room was a good size and although mine was right next to the lift shaft I wasn't disturbed by noise and slept well. The rooftop terrace offers a great view over Valetta. The hotel is conveniently placed for local bars and restaurants, the Sliema ferry, boat trips and the hop on-off buses. The reception, cafe and restaurant staff were all pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping tended to replace towels regardless.

had one of the best holidays at this hotel .from start to finish .had a side sea view room.okay the balcony was not very big in fact you could only seat one person ,but that was okay as we never sat outside .preferefring to sit up on the eight floor where there is a small jaccuzi pool and sunbeds along with a bar to which you can have a nice cold drink ,also this is where the restaurant is for breakfast which there is something for everyone. we had dinner which was very good indeed .the room was spotless maids were in every day anything you needed was not a problem .great location 5 min to the ferrie to valletta which we used every day .when you get to the other side use the red mini bus 1 euro worth the money .there is also some good restaurants only a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel .the coffee shop next door which is run by the hotel make you feel so welcome and the coffee and cakes are good .so in my eye can not wait till we come back.can I also say thank you to vannessa how was very helpful saying that all staff members where lovely .roll on next year .
Comfortable, large and modern room! Great views from breakfast. Very close to ferries and delicious restaurants
-Wi-Fi wasn't good. +Very good location-close to bus station and ferry that takes you to Valletta for about 10 minutes. Very clean rooms and friendly staff.
-The coffee at breakfast is really awful! +Comfy, clean, well-equipped room; v good value for money; helpful staff. As often in Malta hotels, the coffee at breakfast was awful!
We had to make a last minute booking at the strand and was so glad we did. After arriving at the office after midnight. The staff ensured we were booked in quickly and had security escort us to the apartment. The apartment was spacious and kitted out to a high standard. I would have loved to have stayed longer. Located a minutes walk to the waters edge. I would highly recommend checking them out.
-Small niggle ... Tight entrance, one could pass by hotel if not paying attention. +Reception at check-in was excellent. Helpful, even offered a smile which sadly is lacking more often these days Room was large with good facilities. Bar/dining facilities on 8th floor good views.
Brigitte was so helpful & compassionate when assisting me with amending my reservation so that I could return home earlier & take necessary steps to safeguard my home from Hurricane Irma. What a comfort she was during a stressful time! Thank you SO much, Brigitte! Chiara checked us in & was very courteous. She answered our questions enthusiastically & thoroughly. She also arranged our transportation to the airport. Thank you! The hotel room was very clean, modern, quite comfortable and well appointed. We had a Sea View room and it was absolutely lovely and so relaxing! Comfortable mattress, no problem with room A/C, and a well lit bathroom. The 2 multi-country electrical adapters and full size hair dryer were an added plus. We did not use the room wi-if, so cannot comment on that. The dinner buffet at Giulio's on the 8th floor was not only convenient, but delicious as well! The chef was standing on the serving line & engaged all patrons. The taxi service arrived right on time to take us to the airport. We would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it based upon our experience. The property is very nice & the staff made it even better!
We stayed for a week in September and would go back! Which is more than can be said for other hotels. Our flight arrived 3 hours late so missed our pre-booked taxi and the lady on reception was very apologetic, it wasn't their fault! After some poor reviews I was a little worried but our room was nice, clean, spacious and air conditioned! We had a studio room with small window over an internal space but knew this when we booked! The roof top jacuzzi was lovely but a shame it wasn't open later. Bars and cafes close by, along with ferries to Valletta, bus stops and not far from the sea. Lovely place and thanks for having us
-Poor wifi internet connection
Just returned from here, Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location with some of the best views in Malta, Staff very friendly and helpful, Rooms very clean and fresh, Amazing breakfast look forward to my next visit.
the room was worth every penny. close to all things....regardless if you need to go to Valletta, paceville, sliema or elsewhere.Verified Hotels.com guest review
As for the rooms were always clean and everything in order, the food was great and everything was great. The waiters were very nice and friendly especially one, and the rest of the staff was very friendly.
Took my mum for a weeks holiday 1st week September .Great location easy access to tour bus across the street and ferry to Valletta in walking distance .Staff were so friendly especially receptionist Vania our waiter Manav and our waitress Vanessa who couldn't do enough for us . Good breakfast each day, beautiful view from rooftop , rooms were clean with air conditioning. Mum loved it here and everyone loved my mum and would return again.
-The view - the window opened on the interior chimney-like spece, so no daylight in the room. The wi-fi signal in the room was poor, the code received at the reception didn't work, so we just used the 3G on our mobiles. Breakfast too pricy but there are bars just outside. Not very well noise isolated - take earplugs. +Location - convenient to reach by bus or taxi. 17min from Valetta by bus and some 30min from the airport (by taxi). Offered rooms for group of 2+ people. Small kitchen in the suite with kettle, tea and instant coffee available. Modern, big, clean room. Bathroom was bit too small but sufficient.
Having stayed in here this summer, I have very fond memories and would for sure stay here again, whether it's for a business trip or a holiday. Room: The bed was very comfortable to sleep. Rooms are spacious enough, modern and clean. Also the air conditioning is a big factor when it's so hot outside! Reception: Open 24 hours, very friendly and always help with any issues or questions. Restaurant: The restaurant was one of the highlights! Food was always of a high standard and delicious. Breakfasts were varied - croissants, breads, cereals, meats, eggs, fruit etc. The evening meal was also always a very good experience, and probably better than most other restaurants I tried in Malta. Big credit to the chefs who always made flavoursome and healthy food! Mainly the meals tended to be in Italian style, but again, there was always something for everyone. The choice tended to include soups, salads, pasta, meat, fish, vegetables plus a dessert. The staff in the restaurant also created a very friendly atmosphere. A particular mention to Manav and Elvira who were always in a good mood and up for a chat as well as providing very good service! Location: The hotel is just opposite the promenade which is not only a beautiful place for a walk but also where the ferry for Valletta as well as many buses depart. There are also many shops, cafes and restaurants close by and a wonderful place to swim (the beach at tigne point) just a 15 minute walk away. Overall if you are coming to Malta and want a comfortable hotel in a lively area this is the place to stay!
-The room and the bathroom were a bit small, but that's very subjective. +The location is perfect! Close to Sliema and the public transport as well as the sea. Breakfast was served on the roof with an amazing view of the Mediterranean.
We stayed 4 days in room 614. The room was very nice and clean. There is a fantastic view over Sliena Waterfront / Valetta from the balcony. Very friendly and service minded staff, breakfast served at the rooftop restaurant. Good location close to the ferry to Valetta and all the different tourboats. 100m to the nearest busstop.
-The beautiful receptionist with overly curled dark brown hair on the morning/early afternoon of Friday 25th August 2017 was not just rude, but a downright liar, that told me she had no standard rooms. She tried to sell me a higher end room that wouldn't sell and said that although booking.com was showing a room available, it's false. I came back and took advice from a friend that they have to honour a booking.com booking or give an upgrade. I did so, proving her a liar to her face (priceless moment!), and, with her reluctance and disgust, I got my desired room. But she made me feel unwelcome. Due to such poor service, I moved to another hotel the next day with helpful staff that were delighted to have me as their guest and none of this nonsense. I advice management that this is very unprofessional and harms their image as I would recommend other hotels nearby to friends, especially Sliema Marina Hotel, which even offered a free upgrade to a Sea View room for staying more than one night. +Location next to sliema
+Sea view was amazing, jacuzzi on the roof top !
-Coffee from machine :( Fresh fruit salad would be good. +Nice little croissants.Great view from the terrace.
+great location, friendly staff very clean. excellent place to be for vacation with family
Great hotel with fabulous views of Valletta . Situated in the heart of the Maltese tourist area with convenient access to Valletta, St Julian's, Baystreet and Paceville. Wonderful restaurants, bars and shopping in the area or just take a relaxing stroll along the waterfront in front of the hotel. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and always ready to help. Guilio's Restaurant serves a good, well rounded breakfast but we never ate dinner there. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The AC was a God send after walking the hot streets in mid summer. Thank you to the owners and staff of this hotel for helping make our Maltese vacation surpass our expectations.
The staff ,all were great very very helpful the roomsvery clean.
Pros: the accomadation and sea views fantastic,
Location: Everything is a bus away, buses are available every 30 minutes.
-The breakfast was insufficient for Turkish guests and seems like designed just for the European guests. +Location, view, and charitable and compassionate staff, Vania and Erica.
-Bar closing at 10 pm was very poor +The strand hotel on first impression was of a very clean and compact hotel on the port front. Access from hotel to airport took about 20 max, which was a busy. Rooms were spacish and very comfortable & clean. I would've liked new bed sheets every few days tho. Only problem I had with hotel was the very early closing of the bar. 10 pm was totally ridiculous especially for holiday people. Over all I was very happy with the hotel. PS staff were excellent all week jim
A friendly and modern hotel located in a nice district Sliema, easy to reach by bus or car, with a wonderful perspective, excellent staff and facilities, a good restaurant and a shop with a lot of useful things.
-That my holiday ended +All
We stayed at Hotel Strand for a week. Rooms were tidy and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful – cleaners, receptionists, the staff of the restaurant etc. The receptionists helped us a lot (for example when we tried to figure out, how to read the local bus map etc.) and they took care of that we got a transport to the airport. The breakfast was good (english style) and the cafe (on the first floor) was lovely (great baguettes, muffins and friendly staff!). Only negative thing was there was a noisy construction site beside the Hotel Strand (during our holiday). But anyway – great hotel! I could absolutely go there again!
Me and my partner visited Malta for a week back in June. We decided to give this hotel a try due to the competitive price and the nice looking rooms. We were over the moon when we arrived. We arrived about 4 hours before our check in time, but the kind receptionist allowed us to go to our room anyways. The room was absolutely spot on. Very comfy, clean and away from everything. I read reviews about being able to hear people down the corridors. This was not our case. We had 7 nights of peaceful and undisturbed sleep. The cafe downstairs was definitely our favorite place to go before heading out exploring. Very friendly staff, a lovely hotel overall and an amazing stay. Just to note that the bar staff upstairs were absolutely amazing! They were all so kind and wonderful. Sara (I believe) was so welcoming when we arrived. We left our luggage in the room and headed upstairs to the bar and swimming pool. We were instantly greeted in a superb manner. Offered drinks, tops up and food but without being pushy. We enjoyed spending our evenings sitting on the rooftop, sipping our diet pepsi ;) and the odd alcoholic beverage, just admiring the beautiful city we were in. I would highly recommend this hotel. Bravo to all the staff there that make it such an amazing place to stay! We will definitely be back again one day!
Beautiful view from balcony. We enjoyed it every minute.Verified Hotels.com guest review

-Nothing +The staff are nice and helpful. The hotel is recently renovated, modern, clear and comfortable. You must upgrade to Sea-view suite, the sea-view is fantasy, right facing the harbour with Valletta opposite. It looks extremely pretty in dawn. The location is very convenience, you may take X2 from Airport, stop at about 10 meters away from the hotel front door. From the public bus stop, you may easily reach anywhere that you'd like to go.
Ery friendly staff. Helped sick child, room clean. Breakfast good. Simple window.
The hotel is well placed. Beautiful view form the restaurant. Really well furnished and cleaned. The brakfast is really good and there is more than enough food, fruid and drinks. The welcome drink event was also really good.
Me and my friend stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in last days of June. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, comfy beds. TV had a limited number of channels, but we weren't spending much time in the room. Air conditioning was very effective and welcomed. Pity that we havent a fridge in room. Good shower but I agree with other opinion could do with a shelf for toiletries. Location of the hotel is very good. The rooftop restaurant has a wonderful view around. Quite close to a bus stop and approx 10 minutes walk is the ferry taking you over to Valetta. Plenty of eating places nearby.
My Mum and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in June. We were a little apprehensive before we arrived as had seen reviews about the noise from building work however, because of this we were expecting the worst, but it wasn't as bad as we thought. Yes you can hear the building work from neighbouring hotels and yes it is Iittle unsightly, but the whole resort looked like it had building work going on somewhere. If this bothers you I would suggest visiting in a couple of years! It is worth noting though that the road noise is just as loud. We were on the 4th floor and had a room with a balcony, but it certainly wasn't piece and quiet. We didn't mind this though as we had headphones with music, and the gorgeous views made up for it. The roof top area was nice to sunbathe in (we were quite lucky as it was never too busy). It has great views. Up here the road noise is very discreet, and on Sunday afternoon we didn't notice much building work either. Perhaps they take an afternoon off? We were upgraded to a family room which was nice to have the extra space and it also had a kitchenette area where we made use of the fridge. I definitely wouldn't recommend one of the internal rooms as you will not have a view at all and I imagine the rooms to be dark - pay the extra for a balcony. The room was clean and tidy. Good shower. Comfy beds. TV had just 1 English Channel but we weren't there to watch Tv, and we had music on our phones so it wasn't silent in the room. It is a shame there's no free wifi in the rooms but the hotel makes this very clear, and most UK phone networks now offer free roaming in Europe. The staff were very friendly and reception were always happy to help. Location of the hotel is very good. Close to a main bus stop (transportation is very easy around Malta, I recommend using the bus). There were a few bars and restaurants nearby. We loved the Black Sheep which had live music on Fridays and Saturdays, and also the Asian restaurant was the best I'd been to! Huge portions and delicious food. Approx 15 minute walk is the ferry taking you over to Valetta which is such a gorgeous place! You can get a mini bus from the Valetta harbour up to the city centre for €1 which saved the steep walk (I think the bus stops at 5pm though). 15 minute walk to the main centre of Sliema with lots of shops. Airport to hotel is €20 by taxi. There is a shop next door selling literally everything! And a cafe next door too. Overall I enjoyed Sliema (particularly due to how accessible Valetta was) and I was happy with this hotel.
The very best help we got from Vania Dordevic at the Reception. She is also the most beautiful woman on that Island. She gave us many tipps where to go and was always smiling and friendly (y) hvala Then, i want to mention Joe Mallia, a very nice Person. My favourite one, Sara Gomez, was not there anymore. After all, it was such a nice Trip. Best Place to go is maybe Blue Lagoon. Thats awesome. Breakfast Area is nice, Room was always clean, .. you made us feel just happy!! The Hotel with its View... uncompareable! Special Thanks to Vania !!!
We had an amazing time and would go back to 115 The Strand again. We had a sea view and feel that it was good value for money, All the staff we came into c tact with were friendly a d helpful.Verified Hotels.com guest review
Bra läge och bra pris. Fin utsikt.
A very nice suite, spacious, great balcony view and terrace with the (very small) pool/jacuzzi. Tasty food, variety of choice for breakfast. Very good location - close to the bus stop, shops, marina, Manoel Island.Verified Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed the convenient location for trips all around the islands. Stayed in a standard room with great view over the habour. The staff was great and helped us plan and book our trips. We definitely recommend the hotel, if you are looking to take some trips and don't have a car.
Very friendly staff, great location -7 minute walk to Sliema ferry. Restaurants and cafes just outside the hotel as well as small convenience store. Comfortable bed with excellent shower. TV did not work Booked a taxi to the airport through the hotel - taxi was 20 minutes late
My husband and I stayed here in one of the Suite apartments and really loved the room. It was spacious, with a little balcony and very clean and cool (hurray for air con!). As we stayed in the Suites, we were in a separate location down a side street, but I found this to be really lovely and quiet, and still very close to the main street with all the amenities nearby. Highly recommend!
My 2 nephews and I, loved our stay here. Booked the rooms online, received a letter shortly after, with possible additions. I wrote and asked for a few ad on's. The answer came very promptly (we were picked up at the airport and had our beautiful view for breakfast) We were checked in by two kind girls who gave us a few suggestions for lunch and the supermarket we needed that day. Our great room, air condition (max2 min to figure it out) clean and large and the view.: Wow wow wow. Hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to about everything. Bus stops and ferry rides, shops, pool, ocean swims, etc. For all 3 days, every shift of staff working the check in, gave us ideas, were always friendly and kind (due to weather changes we had to short-term change our plans) My nephews asked me to give you 10 stars, I explained 5 is max , they asked me to give you 5+.
Nice hotel in centrum of Malta. 15 min too Sand Beach. 20 min to capital- Valletta. A lot of shops, restaurants. Very good bus comunication. On the roof ,this is 8th floor is restaurant with jacuzzi with exellent view on Valletta and sea.
Nice place to stay in malta. The only problem we faced is to get vegitarin food in the hotel. rest all is good. also thanks to Mr.Manav for his fast services through out our stay in the. hotel. value for the money & the part is the location.
Everything was perfect! We had excellent stay, Clean room, friendly staff perfect location!
First time in Malta very convenient clean helpful stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is in a great location to catch busses to everywhere on the island, as well as boat excursions to all tourist points of interest. Wonderful to walk or jog along the seaside promenades. Several good restaurants just along the Strand. We enjoyed all....no complaints.
